The AYA NEO Air is a brand new handheld that's lightweight, small and has an OLED display. With a Ryzen 5560U, 16gb RAM and a 512Gb SSD it packs a punch - but does it compare to the Valve Steam Deck ? In this episode we take a closer look at how well it performs and why I think its the best handheld system for emulation you can buy today.

Is this the anti-Steam Deck? The Ayaneo Air is a handheld PC, just like the Valve machine - but it runs on Windows, not SteamOS. It has the Switch Lite-like portable form factor that the Deck does not while display-wise, its 1080p OLED display knocks the spots off Steam Deck's mediocre LCD. But what about power and performance... and battery life? Rich tests both Ryzen 5 5560U and Ryzen 7 5825U processors, benches them against each other and Steam Deck and has much to say.

Anbernic just released a New Budget Emulation Handheld known as the RG353PS and it's pretty Good! With an SNES Inspired design and powered by the RK3566 CPU you can play 1000's of your favorite retro games with ease!
It looks like another decent one for 8-bit, 16-bit, 2D arcade and GBA.

So these Anorexic GP463710164SFJLWEZ03's are everywhere right now and they're just not that good.

I mean for $25 at a trash and treasure table, I may be happy with one, but people are really paying quite a bit of money and then acting like they're great products... I mean, they're ok. If you want to play Original Gameboy or Nes games, but I guess I must be missing something.

I've used a retroid pocket something or other that was really nice, but then when my friend told me it was nearly $400 I lost interest. If I saw the one he has for $150-180 I'd buy one, but the anorexic GSL3640265R4 or whatever the fuck it was just felt and played so poorly that I almost didn't want to tell them it was crap and they got conned out of $140 odd.

I've not tried a powkitty or ChatGPD or ODIN/ISIS device so I can't comment on how good or bad they are yet. I'm sure they'll all feel and play better than the Anorexic, but I suspect the prices will be stupid.

Retroid Pocket 3 is around $180.

The Anbernic ones are good quality as well. Miyoo Mini is also good.
