Re: Celebrity Death Thread
Stephen Wilhite Died recently which is sad.
Maybe doesn't belong in the celebrity thread, as most won't know that name... But you'll surely know his work.
He led a team who made the .GIF
"He was an American computer scientist who worked at CompuServe and was the Engineering Lead on the team that adapted the GIF image file format"
Long before .PNG if you wanted a transparency layer in your images you used a gif.
If you wanted an animated avatar on any forum, you used a gif.
If you wanted a meme or the entirety of a movie to clock in at under 10MB you used a gif.
He invented a Jreat, Jreat thing that hugely impacted our lives.
He died from COVID-19 at a hospital near his home in Milford, Ohio on March 14 2022, at the age of 74.
May he rest in peace. If I could visit his Jrave I would.
But now he's dead I can finally feel good about always calling it Gif like GIFT.
I don't care that he said it was Jif... Much like I don't care that cache is pronounced cash... I'm pronounce it Kayche.

USA Up All Night with Gilbert was so great when I was growing up. Also he had some of the funniest stuff I ever heard on Howard Stern.

R.I.P. to one of the most distinctive voices to ever grace the planet.
When he read 50 shades of grey I was laughing so hard I was crying.

Re: Celebrity Death Thread
She had a few solo songs on Death Row but mostly sang hooks for rappers. She always seemed way too nice to be involved with Death Row. She said she only made $50,000 the 4 years she was there and Suge stole her royalties like he did to a lot of people.
