He probably cost Romney any hope he had of winning the election too.

The chuds are out online saying this is a perfect case that highlights the futility of vaccines. If an 84-year-old man with blood cancer can't survive COVID even with a vaccine, what chance do the rest of us have??

I dare you to go up to him and tell him he didn't really win the election now.

I liked him. He was a well-loved, respected man, and even if you didn't side with him politically you couldn't help but love his sincerity and good nature. Hope he finds a just reward in the afterlife as he deserves it. RIP

Re: US Politics Thread
Right, just compare his demeanor at the 1996 debate with Bill Clinton to what happens now.
They act like civil adults. A little bit of posturing, but not unreasonable.
He was also way further on the left in regards to the environment than any Republican in office today. I doubt they'd propose spending $2 billion on the environment.
The unfortunate thing was he had a great personality and was very funny. But you didn't know that until he retired from politics. He still couldn't have matched charm with Bill Clinton, who could charm the panties off of a nun, but it would have been closer.

We can thank Newt Gingrich for his help in polarizing America after the 94 midterm election
