The only problem now is the non-stop "Dems rigged it" posts on social media.

And only one of his kids (Eric, the one everybody makes fun of for being a doofus that looks like Odo) willingly showed up to it (Baron didn't have a choice because he still lives with him.)Dr. Zoidberg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 2:11 pm Even Trump's biggest fans don't want to listen to him crap on for that long.

So Trump's odds for next year look pretty slim...

He'd be a good president. But... I think Kanye will be more dedicated to the roll.

Re: US Politics Thread
I always hope some singular event will start the chain reaction that causes the 24-hour news industry to crumble.
The fates of Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon probably won't do much but they show how provisional it all is. The pundit class is a group of loud-mouth cynics that vies to be the newest shill for lobbyists and politicians. Where one gets cut down, a new group of sycophants step over each other for a prime-time slot.
These huge corporations are sucking all the oxygen out of the country. I'm sick of hearing the latest Big Scary Thing (Muslims, drag queens, gay people, transgender people, litterboxes in schools, roving caravans of Antifa, books, "War On Christmas," etc.) and having my friends and family parroting the talking points. Our remaining grandparents all passed away in the last 3 years and they were all anxious and angry about the world. Some of my last memory of grandpa were him talking about how China wants to take over the United States.
I live in the middle of nowhere and everyone here lives like the enemy is at the gates, ready to burn everything down. It's just so exhausting, and I haven't even watched 15 minutes of this junk in the past 20 years.

Re: US Politics Thread
Is Tucker Carlson rich enough to start his own bullshit news network?
Funnier than all the parodies of some of the batshit things he's said is the ACTUAL things he's said over the years.
Usually it's China or Russia but occasionally it's Germany or North Korea or Iraq or Afghanistan. But whichever one it is, people completely neglect to be paranoid about all the other ones, so delusional focus can be put on the current perceived enemy.
Russia has a tiff with their identical Neighbours over an invisible line, and so they're the biggest threat to all of our freedom as everyone forgets about China being the biggest threat to all our freedom. And before that Everyone forgot about North Korea being the biggest threat to all our freedom to make China the enemy... And so on and so forth all the way back at least 200 years. Before that, anyone could be an enemy, even people who spoke the same language, but now THE enemy has to speak something different.
It's like the governments and news agencies all get together with a big wheel filled with foreign language countries to choose the current object of all of our doom.

I like how we get to choose which non predominantly english speaking country is THE current enemy. And how it's always only ONE!pixel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 7:28 amSome of my last memory of grandpa were him talking about how China wants to take over the United States.
