It's always a weird feeling whenever those clouds are around, usually means there's storms nearby

First we had drought because of climate change. Then we had bushfires because of climate change.
Then we had COVID because of climate change.
And now we have floods because of climate change.
Can nothing stop the climate changing?
What's next? The sun will come out because of climate change?

We could stop building homes in floodplains this time. We could also adapt and build homes that don't get totaled by flooding. We should all just sit and drown. Or maybe live in fireproof houseboats.

But let's stop it by smearing soup on a painting from some dead guy, that'll fix this crazy weather!

Well, today was a fucking thing...

Thunderstorms starting rolling in before 9am, were hitting us hard at around 10am until midday. From midday the rain and lightning stopped, it was just constant thunder until about 3pm, then the rain and the lightning came back. That's when I discovered my gutters weren't draining properly and my kitchen flooded. My gutters are above the kitchen wall outside. Somehow rain go inside and absolutely poured into my kitchen, down the windows and into the sink. At least the sink was a convenient location, I suppose.

I ran outside and cleared out the drains that the gutters drain into, just so the insides of my house wouldn't flood.

This came from the Bureau of Meteorology website, I fall definitely within that severe zone lol

I saw that you guys got a fair bit of rain. I was watching the Adelaide vs Collingwood AFLW final which was at Unley Oval and it pissed down. They had to stop the game for 40 minutes for the lightning to stop.

Hope the house isn't too fucked. Over the kitchen sink is fortunate.

When we got the last shitload of rain the whole back of the house flooded and when no one helped me with thee gutters, I broke them off the clips so the whole ass end of the house didn't need carpets and windowsills replaced.
Since had the gutters fixed so no more waterfalls in the house.

Waterfalls and hice generally don’t mix well. Excellent job Freak-bi Wan. I agree that buildings should be less flammable. I mean we make the frames out of wood. So right from the beginning, they’re a fire waiting to happen.

Also building homes in flood plains, I salute you for your deductions. They’re called FLOOD PLAINS for a really good fucking reason!!!!!
