Without even reading it, I know that article will be funny because it's true.
If I should Die Hard Arcade before I Alan Wake.

Re: The Sonic Thread
That combat looks obnoxious as fuck. Those enemies are just damage sponges. And why does a Sonic game need combat-focused gameplay anyway? Honestly, the whole thing looks like a fan project from someone using a bunch of existing game assets and throwing them into Unreal Engine 4.

I don't know if obnoxious is the word I'd use just yet.
They didn't show the control inputs.
I mean if I'm tapping A 40 times for each enemy while I slowly erode the patches that make up the soccer balls it's going to be fucking tedious.
Conversely, if I'm holding A for 30 seconds for each enemy while sonic just goes to town, it's going to simply be super dull.
And it's looking like it'll be either of those options with no middle ground.
It still looks visually pleasing though, which is all that we can ask from a modern sonic game.

Sonic: Breath Of The Wild
It looks OK. It's a bit weird though.

They're not as good as the MJ tracks but they are still not that bad.

Re: The Sonic Thread
The original prototype music sounds better than what they're using in Sonic Origins. They've had more than 25 years to solve this, and that's all they could come up with? A new, more muffled version? Tee Lopes could've come in and given them a little more pizazz.
It looks like people have already posted sound mods to restore the original music. I might still buy Origins whenever it goes on sale, but I've got too many other ways to play these games. Especially with Sonic 3 Complete out there with all its options.

At least in all of this, we finally got confirmation from the man himself
How much money does the Jackson estate want for these songs? Did SEGA sign up some blood contract to never use these songs again?
